AFI assists clients managing Automotive Shredder Residue (ASR). ASR is not a common media, which make the guidelines and regulations difficult to interpret and navigate.
 

ASR is a burden to many facilities and AFI's management approach not only eliminates the burden but also provides cost savings while navigating regulations and managing ASR to the specifications of the law.

• Assisting with internal ASR handling, storage, and record keeping procedures.

• Conducting random inspections (in house) for large vendors to verify compliance.

• Assisting with correspondence to regulators, when necessary.

• Collecting quarterly ASR samples per individual state protocol or develop for states without protocol.

• Using specialized state-of-the-art equipment designed to shred ASR to the required size (per protocol) in a significantly reduced time frame.

• Preparing letter reports documenting waste characterization of ASR per laboratory reports.

• Coordinating and disposing of ASR material determined to have hazardous waste characteristics.
